Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Dunedin Highland Middle School! We love welcoming volunteers on our campus to help with various activities such as positive referral popcorn days, PBIS store, food pantry, and of course field trips!  Terri Shaw, our Community Liaison and Volunteer Coordinator, emails monthly with sign-up opportunities.  If you’d like to get on that email list, please email Ms. Shaw at shawte@pcsb.org.

Changes to volunteering starting next school year 26-27:

New Requirement Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, all Pinellas County Schools volunteers must undergo Level 2 background screening. Current Level 1 volunteers have until July 1, 2026 to complete this screening. Volunteers that choose not to complete the screening will be marked inactive and will not be eligible to volunteer until a Level 2 background screening is completed.  Why the change? Level 2 background screening allows for enhanced safety and security for our students and staff on school campuses and at Pinellas County Schools events. Pinellas County Schools will be utilizing the AHCA Clearinghouse which also allows for greater versatility across background screenings as it is utilized by healthcare and childcare providers throughout the state of Florida.  Click here for more details: www.pcsb.org/volunteer
